Canadum

Okay-today Mr. Pogo you are my "Target of the day" and I'm still fuming!
I wrote a letter to the editor , which is from a link on pogo that allows members to write in their views and beefs/troubles.Let me mention first of all, I am CANADIAN, but for some reason when I log in it takes me to the UK(British) site. Sooo I go to the url, delete the UK and add a www and it then takes me back where I belong (now I'm wondering)This got to be annoying, so I wrote the editor about it, after I went through all the help Q&A and found no solution. I signed it "dumbo" Well what do I see the next day in BIG bold letters across the screen but the word CANADUM!!! Now this was a personal predujicial insult as far as I was concerned. I looked it up to see if it meant something else and I was maybe reacting for nothing. All I could find was this-Rachycentron canadum- which is some kind of tropical fish. I f this was put there to insult me they did a good job of it. I was about to write off another rant to the so called editor and then decided to just file this remark in my discriminatory list.
Yes I am Canadian and proud of it and anything said about my country or its people is not acceptable to me. I thank GOD everyday that I was born in this "Land of the Free" when I look at other countries around the world today. We are perhaps one of the very few non-aggressive countries there are.If it were not for treaties signed we would never be involved in "other world" disputes. We have never declared war on anyone but because we are a commonwealth country and indebted to their whims, we get dragged into it. I am definitely not a monarchist but I am a patriot. Having a percentage of some brands of soap products and cereal and goodness what else going into the Queen's coffers makes me buy any other brand that doesn't. Our miiltary is a joke to the world for the size of it. We use trust instead of tanks, guns and ships.Trusting that the rest of the world doesn't want this land of ice and snow!!!Most people believe that and its great not to tell them otherwise. So the "dum" as it relates to others is more appropriate. I will sit here in my world of no tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, wild and venomous animals and bugs abound, to any degree. Shovelling is a small price to pay for all that...........
