Well the "magic pill" didn't create a miracle, so now we are on "wait" again until January,2011.Usually Im a pretty happy person around this time of year...I LOVE Christmas, but this year everything I do has to be "on the spot" days when the pain is not with me. If anyone asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year, I would have asked for that miracle of No pain filled nights or days at least for the holidays. I hope that the next blog is not more of this same crap...Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!

Free Health...BAH!

Well my vent today is long overdue and I hope I feel better after its written down....just too bad no one will see it.

I am talking about Canada's Health policies. Everyone seems to brag that here in Canada we get free health care..........they lie! There is a price for everything in this day and age and although we don't pay in dollars and cents....we pay....oh boy do we pay.

This is basically how it goes... You go to a clinic with your ailment....you take a number. Last time I had 86 and I think there were at least 80 ahead of me. Anyway you are asked what your problem is and if it doesn't sound fatal you're told to go sit and wait. While you wait in this germ contaminated room of people of all ages-mostly children-these little darlings scream, yell and touch every chair, magazine and kleenex box available. Minimum 4 hours later you might be called in to sit in a cubicle for another period of time. Smaller room but just as many bacteria floating around from the previous visitors. The Dr ( who never saw you before in your life) asks what he can do for you. No questions about your background, previous problems....nuttin' So you tell him your symptoms or whatever and he must figure you know the problem so he takes a peek in the ears and the "ah" thing and say "ok we'll fix that sinus problem" Gets out that handy prescription pad sitting right beside him and scribbles off whatever.Out the door you go a hell of a lot faster than you came in. He's laughing all the way to the bank! Next!

2 months later the pain is still with you and you're family Dr is booked solid for another 2 weeks. You have another option....oh yeah we have options! That's what our TV ads would like us to believe but they are just being political with elections zooming.

Our other option is to go to emergency at our 1 and only emergency room in a city of 100 thousand people and do the "sit and wait" procedure all over again.!! This to me is no option....its just a change of venue,with a longer wait.

I suppose I am luckier than a lot of people to have a family Doctor BUT she is married, has 3 children of her own and only works when the spirit moves her.So getting an appoinment is like opening the barn door before the horse gets stolen.

When I finally did get to the appointment....what did I get?? a resident doctor, while mine walked around with a stethoscope around her neck! I was not impressed, considering how long I had been one of her first patients when she went into private practice.

So after I went through the story with the resident....she informed me she had to confer with her boss and would be back. At least she had my info on record on the computer to check my past test results etc.

When she returned she had a book that would have been Gulliver's bible and she was flippin' pages back and forth, tryin to find the name of some drug she was going to give me.

I was not a happy camper when I left let me tell you.

The lack of Doctors in Canada is pathetic, because they all head south where they can charge exorbitant prices for patients visits but they seem to get the care and attention we don't here.Here government makes the rules and the Dr's have to abide by them, as far as charges go.

There are some human Dr's out there, but in my estimation, most are in a hurry to get rich and we as human beings become cattle in a pen getting castrated. ....or branded.

Im hoing this "magic" pill works this time and the pain subsides because Im tired of it and the way I have been treated by this "Free" Health system. Where oh where are the caring doctors of old who even came to your house if you were too ill to go to them? where are the ones who know your name before looking at a piece of paper first? where are the ones who go by the problems and don't look at the clock to see that you didn't run overtime ????If you go into a doctor's office here in Canada there are more "Please do not" signs than magazines in the book rack.

There are some things that I'm miffed about and others make me down right angry and my beef today is with Pogo. This is a game site I have been going to for years, minding my own business and playing games or doing challenges.
Now.....Pogo has seen fit to record my every move while Im in Facebook. Who in the world among my Facebook friends wants to or needs to know where I am every minute of the day- cruising?
My security is checked to only friends but it takes a "friend" to tell a non- friend " Oh..she's in gin or word search or wherever and then I end up with more friend requests than I can shake a stick at.
Whoever....in the higher echelons came up with this idea should be tarred and feathered!
I took Facebook off my profile in Pogo and will eliminate the spying pogo if they try any more shenanagins like this. When I play and where I play on the internet is nobody's business but my own. To think I pay Pogo for this????? Im one angry mama I can tell you.......

Vegas for Dishers

Over the years I have attended "meet & greet" folks in Vegas and Im feeling sorry for the BBdishers who are off this coming week-end with high hopes, of having a lulapoluzzie of a time. These things never, never, never work out well.....
Everyone wants to do everything at different times, go different places and eat at different times and places. The last time I went to one of these "get-togethers" most of the crowd only wanted to play Bingo!!! Everyone took off in different directions, even though we had set times to be in specific places...Nope....didn't work. Myself and 2 others got left behind on one occasion, which worked to our advantage in that, the resort sent us in a big white stretch limo....to catch up with the others. That was a hi-lite! Perhaps the only one.....
Since I follow BBdish and read their comments...Im afraid some will be very disappointed in the outcome.True, some are there to see all the past Big Brother houseguests but methinks most are going to meet Carolyn (can't blame them). Carolyn is going try and get interviews of some of these past HG's and her time is limited to what she can do, so if most think she will be at their disposal anytime,anywhere.....they are dreaming! I know Vegas never sleeps but after the last grueling weeks of transcribing all the goings on in the house, Im sure sleeping will be one of her priorities, at some point. I wish Carolyn had not opted to tell everyone of her plans until the last moment as she is gonna be swamped by her dishers.
Most of the ones I met on several occasions.....I never saw or heard from again. Most came with a friend or friends and left the same way. Very few kept in touch.
May I say that Carolyn is the "mama" of the BBdish blog along with Genie and Lessa. If they could meet.....what a time they would have! They at least had the blogging in common and could compare notes......but with all the different personalities going, Im afraid there is going to be some dissention sooner or later. Oh Caro...you made a major error in telling them so soon.
I hope Im wrong and all things go well but( BIG) it has been my experience that Murphy's Law will be in effect..............

Hold the Phone!

I just wish AGP and CBS would get their messages straight.... First Julie says "want to be a fly on the wall and watch the houseguests every move 24/7" and then CBS or superpass (dunno which ) says they have the right to block any game comps etc for any extended length of time.
Well I paid superpass(Real) the fee for watching 24/7 and not watching bubbles or fish everytime I log on. Not seeing the comps is bad enough but if we are blocked now until Wednesday night.....that's a bit much in my opinion. Talk about an oxymoron.....
Every year this bugs me and I always say Im not going to pay again for the next one and I always fail to. Common sense should tell me that being Canadian is not a plus here, as we don't even get all the "extra's" that they promise ....like the free music downloads etc....so putting all these barriers in the way really turns me off and after seeing this last season, which is almost over and was the worst of the worst Im pretty sure Im gonna stick to my guns if there is a season 13! and find something else that my inquiring mind wants to know......anywhoo Im voting for Brendon as AP (which won't count cuz Im a foreigner) and hope Hayden takes the half mil. If any of these houseguests use their time in the BB house on a resume for work in the entertainment business....then they are a bunch of sick puppies! End of today's rant.....

Worst of the Worst....

As y'all know I am a "Reality nut" and follow anything in that category with the exception of a few...
I have watched Big Brother for almost 12 seasons (12 not finished) and I have never been so confused and disgusted with any of the past 11, (even 9) as I am this season.
I think a lot of the fault lies with the casting director and a lot with the lies the contestants tell in their interviews. I dunno which is worse but Im darn sure the casting department needs an overhaul.
We wait with baited breath every season, hoping for our favorite, who played the best ,in our opinion, gets to bask in the winner's circle........but noooo.....ain't gonna happen I guess. Im the best at picking the losers.....My picks were 1-Curtis (Eddie won) 2-Nicole(Will won) 3- Danielle(Lisa won)4-Cowboy(Drew won)5-Jack(Jun won)6-Yvette(Maggie won)7-Marcellas(Boogie won)8-Evel Dick(BINGO!)9-Alex(Adam won)10-Dan(BINGO!)11-Jeff(Jordan won) so 2 out of 11 and for #12? I don't have anyone in mind as none left, deserve it.
Britney is what Brendon called her- a spoiled brat.Catty, pouty and manipulative.'Yo man bro is all mouth and no action.Ragan is one sad puppy and very sick to be teaching University students.Lane is a typical blow your own horn Texan and Hayden, who if I had to pick for the least catty and foul mouth...it would be him. Saying that though will probably put a curse on him and he'll lose.....Time will soon tell. Good luck to all the ones who really played the game who are now in the jury house!

Real Life and more....

Thought I'd take a few minutes to share some experiences that I have had the past 2 years in regards to RV's..

Two years ago...my daughter and son-in-law bought a trailer (RV) and took me along for a trip to the east coast to re-connect with my past! This RV was really comfy. It had a bathroom completely across the back of it with tub, shower, vanity, toilet and clothes closet......privacy galore! The table made into my bed and although it was a wee bit short...it was hard and really comfortable and I slept like a baby! All in all it was a great trip, and I decided I could handle the "RV experience"

Well, during the next year they traded that RV in for a 5th wheel, which sits on the bed of a truck. This time we were off again to the east coast for my sister's 50th wedding anniversary. A very different experience this time..... This RV had a "tip-out" which consisted of a dining table and chairs and a couch which made into a queen size bed! Now ,here's the part where bigger is NOT always better! The bed (when open) had a "blow -up" mattress and when inflated was like the rolling hills of Tennessee. I had to find a groove for each section of my body. I tried to sleep on it several times just as a couch but it was so narrow that all the covers would slide off and I would be froze! Since the table didn't make into a bed I had no other choices and the table and chairs were soooo close to the couch that you couldn't sit there to eat anyway.The kitchen bar had 2 stools at it and 2 nice swivel lazy boy chairs, but I prefer a bed of sorts to sleep on!

Thennnn.....there was the bathroom...open for all to see from stem to stern. Going up the 3 stairs to the bedroom, on the left was a tub/shower and a sink and on the right was an itty bitty closet with a toilet in it. You really had to go out to change your mind! Not possible to get dressed in and if you were of any size.....forget it! I weigh 100 lbs soaking wet and I found it tight quarters!

There were curtains between the bath apparatus and the bed but certainly not sound proof and pretty flimsy.
So....I think I have finished with the "RV" crowd. I am a creature of habit and this will not become one I can assure you and I haven't even mentioned the bug bites and the bee sting...Oh well ...maybe the next time I get on a "pity kick"....cya

I'll be derned! I found this old site while browsing and had forgotten the UN annd PW so gave it up for the web goblins .....so now I can, once again rant away! No one reads this anyway so guess Im safe from prying eyes Ha !!
Since its been over a year when I blogged last, I just haven't quite figured out where to start but I will get it together eventually......stay tuned anonomooses!
